The total exports by the Unions affiliated with the General Secretariat of Central Anatolian Exporters Union (OAIB) increased by 5.7% in January and April, 2012 as compared to the same period of the previous year, totaling approximately $ 2.8 billion. The share held by OAİB in the total exports of Turkey in the first four months of 2012, realized at 7.4%.
Exports as recorded in the period January and April, 2012 registered increases of 55.4% ($ 201.7 million) for the Cereals, Pulses, Oil Seeds and Products Exporters Union; 21% ($ 114.3 million) for the Wood and Forestry Products Exporters Union and 3.5% ($ 632.7 million) for the Cement, Glass, Ceramic and Soil Products Exporters Union. On the other hand, the export of the Machinery and Accessories Exporters Union and Ferrous and Non-ferrous Metals Exporters Union decreased by 38.6% ($ 808.2 million) and 7.5% ($ 487.4 million), respectively.

The export value of the Ornamental Plants Exporters Union that joined June 2011 in the General Secretariat is $ 26.4 million in January-April 2012. In addition, HVAC Industry Exporters Union and Defence Industry Exporters Union, which have just established, exported $ 357.7 million and $ 203.2 million in the same period, respectively.
The unions, which are affiliated with the General Secretariat of Central Anatolian Exporters Union achieved exports to 197 countries including the free zones in the period of January-April 2012. The countries claiming the highest shares in the total exports of the Secretariat General are the following: Iraq (a share of 8.3%), Germany (a share of 8.2%), USA (a share of 6.3%), Azerbaijan (a share of 5.8%), Russian Federation (a share of 4.3%), United Kingdom (a share of 4.3%), Saudi Arabia (a share of 3.5%), Italy (a share of 3.5%), France (a share of 3%) and Iran (a share of 2.7%).
