Minister of Industry and Trade Nihat Ergün revealed the Turkish Industrial Strategy Document covering 2011-2014 period in the introductory meeting in Istanbul.
Ergün mentioned that industry, trade and serving sectors were seen as a whole in Turkish Industrial Strategy Document and the document was constructed on horizontal and sectoral politics areas.
Minister Ergün expressed his wish for the Turkish Industrial Strategy Document to be beneficial for Turkey. He said that it is very important for Turkey to have such a road map.
Ergün pointed out that it is time to make stable reforms needed in micro area on provided confidence and stability in macro-economic area. “Industrial Strategy Document is very important and valuable since it is an instrument providing reforms in micro areas” he said.
Ergün notified that Turkey’s attraction in macro area will also reverberate to micro area with the application of Industrial Strategy Document and domestic and foreign investments will increase.
“Who do not know where to go can not go anywhere even if all the roads are open. Because if you do not know where to go, there is not important where you arrive. With this document, we open the way for industry and the instruments we will use in this way.” said Ergün.
